Igniting Houston's Passion For Tennis

Discover how Space City Tennis provides lifelong experiences for the next generation of student-athletes in Texas.

Mission

Space City Tennis, LLC (SCT) is a mission-driven tennis organization dedicated to empowering elementary, middle, and high school students attending Title I, Part A schools in Houston. During 2026, SCT served over 170 students with the technical skills, strategic knowledge, on-court confidence, and sportsmanship needed to compete at the highest levels of tennis and succeed in life.

Through our non-profit, low-cost business model, we offer a range of tennis programs tailored to developing and advanced junior players, fostering the essential skills required to excel at any level.  SCT believes a family's budget should never limit a student-athlete's participation in tennis.

The Frank Black Middle School (FBMS) Racquet Center reopened on August 1, 2026. Reserve a pickleball or tennis court using the USTA scheduling system for afternoon clinics. And new for 2026, SCT is offering weekday programs, including women's tennis and pickleball clinics, as well as doubles workouts on Saturday mornings.

Additionally, the FBMS Tennis Booster Club is accepting new members whose donations support the development of new courts.
