Space City Tennis, LLC (SCT) is a mission-driven tennis organization that empowers elementary, middle, and high school students attending Title I, Part A schools in Houston. During 2026, SCT served over 170 students with the technical skills, strategic knowledge, on-court confidence, and sportsmanship needed to compete at the highest levels of tennis and succeed in life.

Through our non-profit, low-cost business model, we offer a range of tennis programs tailored to developing and advanced junior players, fostering the essential skills required to excel at any level.  SCT believes a family's budget should never limit a student-athlete's participation in tennis.

The Frank Black Middle School (FBMS) Racquet Center reopened in August 2026. Patrons can reserve a pickleball or tennis court using the USTA scheduling system. Additionally, the Racquet Center offers various junior clinics in the afternoons, as well as doubles workouts on Saturday mornings.

And new for 2026, SCT is offering weekday women's tennis clinics, 

Additionally, the FBMS Tennis Booster Club is accepting new members whose donations support the development of new courts.

Clinics

• After-school clinics for students at FBMS.
• Doubles clinics for L7+ players held at WHS on Saturday morning.
• Women's program on weekdays and Saturday.
• Red Ball clinics launched at Gardne Oaks Montessori Magnet School.
• HTA sponsored Orange and Green Ball development camps.

Schools

• FBMS competitive team practices at 7 am on Tuesday and Thursday, ending on November 5, 2026. FBMS development team morning practices on Monday and Wednesday, ending on October 28, 2026.

• St. Rose of Lima tennis clinic at WHS on October 24, 2026.

Tournaments

• Pickleball tournament at FBMS.

• October 2026: HTA Orange Ball camp at Lost Forest.

• November 29, 2026: Thanksgiving Parent/Child Tournament.
