Overview

Frank Black Middle School's tennis club is hosting a doubles tournament on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Waltrip High School tennis facility. This one-day event begins at 8:00 a.m.  Doubles teams, boys, girls, and mixed, will compete in a format similar to the U.S. Open mixed doubles. Trophies will be presented to the winners.

 

Details

Location: Waltrip High School, 34th Street, near Ella, in northwest Houston. Enter the parking lot  from 34th Street. Courts are accessed walking east on the 34th Street sidewalk

Events: Girls' doubles, boys' doubles, mixed doubles. Students can enter only one event

When: Saturday, November 8, 2025, 8:00 a.m., event start times TBD

Format: Double elimination, no-add scoring, four-game set

Participants: Middle school students at or above the USTA L7 level recommended. One of the doubles players must attend an  HISD school

Support staff: FBMS Tennis Booster Club is responsible for concessions, security, and maintenance

Entry fee: One hour of community service

Deadline for Registration: November 1

 

Registration: Each player should fill out a registration form, indicating their partner's name on the form.
