Oak Forest Junior Tennis Program

The Oak Forest Tennis Club (OFTC) junior tennis program is for players beginning their USTA tournament journey. Whether you are picking up a racket for the first time, OFTC's program is the perfect place to start. Whether playing singles or doubles matches in Red, Orange, or Green events, club members bring a winner's attitude to the court! Most importantly, OFTC ensures every player develops a comprehensive strategic plan with clearly defined short- and long-term goals, fostering a winning mindset grounded in disciplined preparation.

Under the guidance of Next-Gen coaches, OFTC helps prepare student-athletes for competitive matches on Saturday mornings at 7:30 AM at FBMS and Waltrip High School. OFTC is hosting Orange Ball events at FBMS in the Fall of 2026 and coordinating with the USTA National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) program in Houston. Before each USTA Grand Prix match, OFTC coaches organize team practices, discuss a nutrition plan, and conduct an equipment check, covering appropriate clothing, footwear, racquets, and essential supplies such as grip tape and water.

Furthermore, during USTA tournaments, OFTC players aspire to earn USTA Sportmanship Pins for their efforts during tournaments.
