Lost Forest Tennis Club's Unique Facilities Offer Relief Amid Houston's Rainy Afternoons

As Houston bakes under a persistent summer heat wave in July 2026, with frequent afternoon thunderstorms, local tennis players are finding a welcome escape on the courts at Lost Forest Tennis Club.

The club, located at 5775 Lost Forest Drive, has served the northwest Houston community for more than 40 years and has become a go-to destination for consistent play when outdoor conditions turn unpredictable. While there are about 40–60 indoor courts across greater Houston, very few offer low-cost covered courts.

Lost Forest's covered courts provide a comfortable environment with a reliable playing surface, allowing drills, lessons, and summer camps to proceed without interruption from the elements.

For example, a recent summer tennis camp for aspiring players led by Jason Abante did not miss a day due to rain. The camp participants informed Space City Tennis News, 'We really enjoyed Coach Abante's advice and drills. He pushed us to improve each day.'

Forty Love Tennis Interests LLC owns the club. Under this ownership, the facility continues to invest in court improvements, including a new training center, while maintaining its reputation as a welcoming, family-friendly environment for players of all ages and skill levels.

According to the Universal Tennis Rating app, there are over 20 registered members associated with the Lost Forest; however, this is likely an underestimate of total participants, as not everyone uses the app, and many are casual/drop-in players,

In a summer defined by extreme heat and pop-up storms, Lost Forest's courts stand out as a practical way to stay active and competitive. Whether you're a junior developing fundamentals, an adult chasing league points, or simply looking for a cool place to hit, the club delivers reliable tennis in any weather, reports Space City Tennis.

Drop-ins are welcome—come for the game, stay for the community.
